We keep our standard fees well below the industry recommendations.
The Current Recommended Fee for Psychological Services set by The Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi) is $340 for a 40-60 minute appointment.
Consultation Fees
Thriving Minds Therapy is a private billing practice.
Our consultation fees range from $215 to $280 per session, depending on the psychologist providing your care.

Medicare Rebate
Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan from their GP may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for eligible psychology services. From 1 July 2025, Medicare rebates are $98.95 per session with a Registered Psychologist and $145.25 per session with a Clinical Psychologist.
NDIS Funding
We provide services to NDIS participants who have self-managed or plan-managed funding. Unfortunately we are not a registered provider and unable to provide services to NDIA managed participants.
NDIS services are charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
After Hours Appointments
While our team’s after hours appointments are limited, All appointments booked before 8am or after 4 pm on weekdays will incur an additional $20 after-hour surcharge.
Please note, fees are subject to an annual increase each year.
Cancellation Policy
Session times are in high demand. We require at least two business days’ notice if you need to reschedule your appointment so that another client may take your appointment time. If you cancel within two business days, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. If you cancel within one business day or forget to attend your appointment, the full session fee will be charged.
The cancellation fee will be charged to your credit card that we will keep securely on file. If you provide us with more than two business days’ notice to cancel or your appointment is filled, no fee will be incurred.
A business day is defined as starting at 9.00am and finishing as 5.00pm.
